Top class post my friend. I've never been to Pompeii or Mount Vesuvius, but certainly on my list. I've been to Rome, Naples, Florence, Venice, Amalfi coast on various trips but still didn't get there.

Ya definitely.... We can't quite do that, as we are an island country, but we a cheap Ryanair flight to Rome, Paris, London, Stockholm, Barcelona, Brugges, Amsterdam etc.. which is pretty cool...
